JackerFinding an Opponent:
There are several ways to find other players. The best way is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) channel dedicated to M:TG players on Newnet: #Apprentice.
For information on how to get on to IRC, go to http://www.planeswalker.com/irc/
Once you are in the #Apprentice channel and spend a few minutes there, you will likely see people asking for games of Apprentice. You can either tell them you would like to play, or ask in the channel for a game, and play someone who responds. Please request games only every 15 minutes; requesting more often than that is commonly known as spam.
Once you find an opponent, you'll need to know their IP address to connect to them, or they will need to know yours to connect to you.
