To move a card to the desktop, left-click on the card you wish to play, and drag it over to the play area. You may also drag from your library pile to reveal from top of abilities. A white outline will appear guiding you as to where the card will be placed when you drop it. By releasing the mouse button your card drops into play. If you rest your mouse cursor over the card for a few seconds, information on that card will appear if Pop Up Hints is enabled. (Top)
By right-clicking on the card, a pop-up menu will appear with many options. (Top)
Tap - Marks the card as being tapped. When the card is tapped, this option changes to Untap. You can also tap an untapped card by double-clicking on it. Double-clicking a tapped card will cause it to become untapped. (Top)
Attack - Taps the card and marks it as attacking. (Top)
Attack without Tapping - Marks the card as attacking, but not tapped. (Top)
Doesn't Untap as Normal - When you use the Untap Cards button or Press Ctrl-U, cards that are marked with this will not untap. When this is already on, this option becomes Untaps as Normal. (Top)
Phase Out - Marks the card as being phased out. When the card is phased out, this option changes to Phase In. (Top)
Flip Card Over - Flips the card over so it is invisible to you and your opponent, but the card is still on the tabletop. When the card is flipped over, the View Card option changes to Peek at a Facedown Card. (Top)
Color Lace - Gives you the option of changing the card color to Black, Blue, Green, Red, White, Colorless, or Gold. (Top)
Set Counters - Adds a number of counters to the card. A box pops up asking how many counters you wish to add. (Top)
Add Counter - Increases the number of counters on the card by 1. Remove Counter - Decreases the number of counters on the card by 1. (Top)
Switch Controller - Gives control of the card to your opponent. (Top)
Bury - Moves the card from the tabletop to your graveyard. You may also drag the card from the tabletop to the graveyard (indicated by a cross). (Top)
Return to Hand - Moves the card from the tabletop to your hand. You may also drag the card from the tabletop to your hand. (Top)
Return to Library - Moves the card from the tabletop to your library. You may also drag the card from the tabletop to your library (indicated by a closed book). (Top)
Remove from Game - Moves the card into the Out of Game pile. You may also drag the card from the tabletop to the Out of Game pile (indicated by a trash can). (Top)
View Card - Gives you a description and characteristics of the card. (Top)
To drag a card face-down to the play area, hold the shift key down while dragging the card from your hand to the play area. This same action is also used when you wish to drag a card from your library to the play area. (Top)
By click-dragging the mouse on the main view screen, you can draw a rectangle around one or more cards. When you release the mouse, these cards will be highlighted in red. If you right-click on any of these selected cards and perform a menu function, Apprentice will perform the selected operation on ALL of the highlighted cards. This is very convenient for when you wish to attack with a large number of creatures, tap all of your land, etc. (Top)
To randomly bury a card from your hand, click on 'Action' in the Menu Bar, and choose 'Bury Random Card From Hand'. To show a card at random, click on 'Show' in the Menu Bar, and choose 'Random card from Hand'. (Top)
