1. Do not repeat anything more than about once
every ten minutes.
2. Do not use colors, bold, underline, inverse,
or ASCII (eg. º+ô¥Å«») characters in the channel. They are considering
annoying, and do not appear correctly for all irc users.
3. Do not type in all caps, LIKE THIS. It is considered
yelling and is rude.
4. Do not use excessive punctation, like this!!!!!!!!!!
5. Do not change your nick frequently. This can
be misinterpreted as nick-flooding, which is often used in channel
takeover attempts.
6. We do not condone nukes, war programs, flooding
or taking over channels. We will not tolerate discussing or using
denial of service attacks by users in our channels.
7. The channel should maintain a family atmosphere.
We want the league to be open to as many people as possible including
children. Foul language, and XXX rated talk will not be tolerated.
We will tolerate occasional curse words of the type you can hear
on network television or slightly risque comments, but these should
be few and far between.
8. Never ask for channel operator status. If you
have been helpful in the channel or to the pwl and display a good
amount of maturity then you may be asked to be an op, but you
should never request it.
9. Do not talk bad about anyone in the channel.
If you have a problem, take it to /msg or send e-mail to Webmaster@netjacker.8m.net
. We have no way of verifying who is telling the truth, and have
had several false accusations in the past.
10. We only allow a few things to be advertised
in the channel. The following channels may be advertised: #Apprentice
and #DOJO_CHAT. Any other channels that wish to advertise may
request permission from one of the ops to temporarily advertise.
We will NOT approve advertisements for any channels that aren't
well established with a unique purpose. For example, we would
not approve an ad for a channel to discuss Magic the Gathering
or to play Apprentice games. You may advertise cards that you
have or want as long as you dont spam. You may advertise web pages
as long as there is some MtG content on them. If you want to advertise
something else that isn't discussed here you should talk to one
of the ops. Asking for a game of Apprentice or mentioning an online
draft server is not considered advertising.
11. You should not mass message users in the channel.
If you want to ask for a game, you should do it in the channel.
12. You may not misrepresent yourself as a channel
op or a judge.
13. You should heed all warnings from the ops.
The ops are in charge of the channel, and they are there to try
to make the channel as enjoyable as possible for everyone. If
you have a problem with a user or think someone is breaking the
rules, you should msg an op. If you feel that one of the ops did
something out of line, you should msg Net_Jackr, he is in charge
of the channel.
14. You shouldn't try to dcc chat with a stranger
or dcc send something to them.
