Instructions for loading patches for Apprentice:
You have made a good choice for playing
Magic on-line. Apprentice THE most common application for on-line
magic players. For help with using Apprentice please refer to the
Apprentice section located on this site.
You will need Winzip
in order to open your patch and extract the files.
To insure no complications with installing
your patches follow these steps:

1. In your documents folder create a file
named Apprentice Patches, App Patches, or whatever you feel
like naming it. Just make sure you remember what you named
it.

2. Select the patch you wish to download and
click it.
|

3. When prompted, select "Save this
file to disk" and browse to the folder you just created.
Then click "OK" to start your download.
|
4. Take a coffee, coke, or smoke break for your
file is downloading...
5. Once the file download is complete go to your
customized folder and open the zip file.
6. Now hit the "My Computer" icon on
your desktop and browse to your apprentice folder. Click on it.
Your apprentice folder should be open while your game should NOT.
7. By now you should have "Winzip"
and "Exploring: Apprentice" windows open.

8. In Winzip select all but the cardinfo.dat files
and move them to the Apprentice folder. When it asks if you want
to overwrite/replace already existing files select yes.
9. Now for that last loner file... Select it and
place it in the "Sets" folder. Again, when it asks you
if you want to overwrite/replace existing files hit yes.
10. You should now be done with updating you Apprentice
game. You may now close the Winzip and Exploring: Apprentice windows.
